IP ripoffs in China - brick and mortar clones

Recently I visited Beijing and Shanghai, China as part of an international marketing course I was taking. Although I expected to see a lot of the Intellectual property (IP) violations that China is famous for, like knockoff clothing, what I saw was a lot more troubling for any company looking to capitalize on their brand in China.

Is that the Coronel?
On the left is an actual KFC franchise in China. On the right is a place I found in Beijing. Yes, they do sell fried chicken, but no, they are not really a KFC. It's was really disturbing to see a brick and mortar ripoff. Shoes sure, but franchises?

Can I also steal your business model?

Actual Starbucks on the left, Sundy Coffee franchise on the right. Yes, I did say Franchise. Sundy Coffee not only stole the logo, colors and look of Starbucks, but they Franchise it! I saw more Sundys than Starbucks in Shanghai.
Do you have more IP ripoffs to share? Want to comment on these? Write me...
